Use paper judging and bubble sheets

Paper judging provides a backup or primary workflow when judges score vehicles away from a shared device. Configure the judging form before printing so every sheet matches the fields staff will later enter.

Prepare sheets

  1. Open Edit event → Judging Form → Paper.
  2. Choose the detailed or simple paper layout and review the preview.
  3. Print a test sheet at actual size, confirm every score option and vehicle identifier is readable, then print the required quantity.
  4. Decide who will distribute, collect, mark, and transcribe completed sheets.

When the event has bubble-sheet scanning enabled, the printed QR code identifies the event. Keep sheets flat, use clear marks, and do not reuse one sheet for multiple vehicles.

Scan and transcribe

  1. Open Judging and start the bubble-sheet scanner when that action is available.
  2. Scan the sheet's QR code. A code for another event or an invalid sheet is rejected.
  3. Type or bubble the attendee number, then verify the loaded owner and vehicle before continuing.
  4. Transcribe each marked score, compare the calculated total with the paper sheet, and save.
  5. Confirm the saved judging status, then mark the paper sheet as entered.

Scanning assists transcription; it does not replace human review. Resolve unclear or multiple marks with the judge before saving. The scanner appears only when bubble-sheet support is enabled for the deployment, so retain a manual entry process and do not assume every device will offer it.
