Sustainability & EV Integration

It's easy to put recycling logos on a show flyer. It's harder to make sure the bins are in the right places, vendors know what goes in them, and the waste company can actually recycle what you collected.

Start with the unglamorous stuff: less unnecessary printing, water refills, paired trash and recycling bins, safe power, and a plan for leaks. If you're adding EVs, figure out charging, cables, fire access, and how they'll fit the show instead of treating them like a side exhibit.

Ask the venue and waste hauler what can actually be processed locally before choosing bins and labels. Put trash and recycling together, use consistent openings and signs, and brief vendors on acceptable materials. Track bags or weights if you intend to make a diversion claim; otherwise describe the actions without inventing a percentage.

For EV displays, distinguish parking from public charging and supervised demonstration. Confirm electrical capacity, cable protection, fire access, damaged-battery procedures, and who may connect equipment. Good interpretation can connect new technology with the broader history of automotive innovation without treating one kind of enthusiast as a prop for another. Reviewed and updated August 2026.
