1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle

This was my first vehicle. I purchased it in 1980. It is a 1973 Super Beetle Sport.  Only 20,000, 1973 Sports Bugs were produced by Volkswagen AG at Emden, Germany. The 1973 Sports Bug was a special edition of Super Beetle offered in two colors - Saturn Y&ellow or Marathon Blue Metallic and featured distinctive black bumpers, black trim, special Lemmerz GL sports wheels, a leather sports steering wheel and a rear window defroster.  It was a one-year-only release.
