Story

I've owned the car for 46 years, I purchased the car when I lived in Northern California.  When I brought the car to Atlanta, I parked it in my driveway with clothes and books inside, and the car cover up.  After it set up for so many years, my wife threaten to donate my car, she said it was a eyesore sitting in the driveway.  So my Brother and a friend came up from Florida, and took the car back down to start a partial restoration project about 16 years ago.  The car was painted and reupholstered by Bob Strumb of GT Motorcars of Gainesville, Florida.  My car was brought back up to Georgia, and the engine was rebuilt by the Late Franz Blam of Franz Blam Racing formerly of Tucker, GA.  My car is presently being maintained by Kurt Keitel of Ultra Performance in Winder, Georgia.  In 2024 my car participated in the Porsche Club of America Werks Reunion in Amelia island, Florida and won first place in its class.  It was also selected to participate in the 2026 Luftgekult 12, a all Porsche Air Cooled event at Trilith Studios in Fayetteville, GA.  I am still enjoying Old School, and one day I will be passing it on to my son and grandsons.
