Story
2024 Chattanooga Motorcar Festival Outstanding in Class Winner in the Post War Special Interest Group. This 1971 Volvo 142GT is exceptional and has a solid history of prominent ownership in CA with the previous owner, Bill Webb, author of Swedish Iron for the infamous Volvo P1800 model. Acquired in 2024 and is an concurs level restoration by Mr Webb who is well known in the Volvo community for his work restoring Volvos above factory level. This was his personal car for over 20 years. Every bolt, hose, trim and part has been either refurbished or replaced. Additional non-factory upgrades includ Corbeau GT front seats, Moto-Lito wood steering wheel and power steering. You would never know unless you are a Volvo expert.
The car drives like a dream and sounds like it is just off the factory showroom floor. It is a true time capsule that has been driven and restored to the highest level. It even spent time in Jay Leno's garage when the headers were being worked on by one of his mechanics George Swift. Prepare to be totally impressed!
