Story
- Story: The previous owner of this car was a 94 year old lady from southern California who I called "The Little Old Lady from Pasadena". She kept it in her garage, and as she advanced in age, she drove it less and less. When medical issues would not allow her to drive anymore, she asked if I was interested in buying it. Never having any interest in a convertible, much less a BMW, I was a little hesitant, to say the least. Sitting in the garage for an extended period of time tooks its toll on the car, both mechanically and cosmetically; the convertible top was falling apart, paint was faded and chipping, headlights were faded and cloudy and the factory stereo no longer worked. The engine was overheating, seals were leaking, and it lacked any type of service or preventive maintenance in several years. I had never done a restoration of any kind up until this point, so intentional steps were taken to restore this Z3 as close to the original factory specifications as possible, along with some modern day upgrades.
