The Girl in Antimatter Blue
Sapphire is a 2021 Ford Bronco Outer Banks 4-door with the Sasquatch package.
There are vehicles, and then there are vehicles that make you feel something the moment you see them ... and then there is her.
She wears a color that seems to change with the light. In the sunshine, her Antimatter Blue paint shimmers with a deep, almost royal blue. Under the clouds, she looks nearly black. Her Antimatter Blue paint is a huge part of what makes her special. It isn't the bright, obvious blue that demands attention from across the parking lot. It is subtler than that. More sophisticated; even secretive. It's the kind of colot that makes someone walk past, turn around and look again. Wait! Is that BLUE or is that BLACK? She looks elegant without being delicate. She is bold without being flashy. She wears her color like a tailored suit over a wild heart.
JUST IMAGINE being with her in North Georgia. Maybe the destination is a waterfall hidden at the end of a hiking trail. Maybe it's a gravel road that disappears into the woods. Maybe theres no destination at all. That is the best thing about this beautiful beast. You don't always have to know where you are going. Sometimes the best part is discovering where you end up knowing that her stance, big tires and unmistakalbe silhouette will carry her like she belongs wherever aventure takes her.
She is way more than the sum of her parts. She is a place of refuge. She is a place where my favorite songs play loudly to drown out the noise of the world. She is a place where spontaneoud detours have become fun memories. There has never been a single time I've gotten behind the wheel, sat down and not smiled thinking "My God, I love this vehicle." And there has never been a single time I've walked away from her without turning around for one last look.
The 2021 model year was the Bronco's comeback year, making these early Broncos part of the first chapter of the modern revival. Antimatter Blue was only offered for 2021, giving that model year a color that would not remain in the lineup indefinitely. That makes her a snapshot of a particular moment in Bronco history: a first-year comeback model, a sophisticated Outer Banks, a Sasquatch-equipped adventurer, and a color that could disappear into the shadows or shine in the sun.
She doesn't have to be the rarest Bronco ever made to be worth appreciating. Sometimes, the most meaningful things are the ones that feel like they were made just for you.
Maybe that's the real story of this Bronco. She was built to go places, but she became a part of my story, too. A little refined. A little rebellious. A little mysterious and always ready for the next adventure. Some vehicles take you where you need to go... Sapphire has taken me places that I didn't know I wanted or needed to be.
A girl in Antimatter Blue 🐎💙 A particular kind of wild, wrapped in a little bit of luxury; An Outer Banks girl with a Sasquatch soul and to say I am obsessed with her is a huge understatment.
