Story
Meet Clark. 💙❤️🦸♂️
He started life as a Riverside Blue 2022 Camaro LT1 convertible, but somewhere along the way, he became something much bigger than just a car.
I named him Clark for Clark Kent — because when that hood opens, Superman comes out.
Over the last four years, I’ve slowly turned him into my Superman Camaro. Custom hood artwork, engine-bay and trunk displays, modifications, and a whole lot of horsepower - over 500 HP now. Every little piece has been added with a purpose, and somehow the car has taken on a personality all his own.
He’s been to countless car shows, brought home more than 30 trophies, introduced me to people I probably never would have met otherwise, and given me some pretty incredible memories.
But one moment changed the meaning of this car for me forever.
At a charity car show honoring fallen officers, the family of fallen Officer D.C. Stepnowski chose Clark for an award. I later learned their family had also lost a little boy at only three years old — and he had been buried wearing a Superman costume.
His mom told me that her son would have been 26 and that when she was standing there with Clark, she felt him with her.
I will never forget that.
Suddenly all the Superman details, the Back the Blue connection, the time spent building him and everything this car represented felt different. It reminded me that sometimes something you create simply because you love it can end up meaning something completely unexpected to someone else.
Clark has won trophies, but honestly, that moment meant more than any trophy ever could.
So when people ask me why I put so much time, money and love into “a car,” this is why.
He isn’t just a Camaro sitting in my garage.
He’s Clark. 💙❤️
And when the hood goes up…
Superman comes out. 🦸♂️
