Ich "HABE DIE EHRE" to share my story about this car.

I purchased it with 170,000 miles through Facebook marketplace in North Carolina. Unfortunately I have very little history on the car, how many owners had it before me and what is has gone through.  It is clearly not 100% stock, it has been modified from its orginal status.  I know for sure based on the vin number that is was originally a beige interior with automatic seats. Clearly that is not what it is today!  When I saw "Jaws", it just hit all the right buttons:  The right color combo (Zinnoberrot on Black) with a manual transmission and it brought back memories of it by dad calling it his dream car when I grew up in Germany.

I bought it with the goal to have a 3-Generation vehicle, for my dad to drive when he would visit and for my son to enjoy as he was starting to get into vintage German cars. Unfortunately my dad passed away unexpectedly and never had a chance to see it live and drive it.  He would have loved this car, enjoyed the community and the car meets/shows we attend.  Therefore I have a photo of my dad with me in the car and let him be part of my enjoyment with it.

It is not a show car,  it has flaws that are being pointed out to me by experts but for me it is the perfect vehicle that I want family, friends and future generations to enjoy and drive.
