The truck has been in our family since new.  It came with just the body, no bed, due to WWII and the lack of metal. The frame of the bed, which is the original bed, was made by my uncle, as well as the wood sides.  I learned to drive this truck at 12 years old, having a 200 acre farm to practice on and plenty of hay to distribute to 150 head of cattle throughout the farm. After I turned 16, with a legal driver's license, I would drive the truck to the farmers market south of the Atlanta airport and pick up all the produce we would need for the week at Bruton's Store, a small country store located on Bankhead Highway and the intersection of Oakdale Rd, Mableton, GA.

The truck was kept in a barn during it's early years, until my father and 3 uncles passed, leaving the truck with me. The 46 remained with me, in a garage until my wife told me to get it rebuilt, which I did...and she was thrilled, until I told her how much it cost.
We're still married.
