Previous-event history and matching

Link prior events, import history, and review attendee matches.

Who can use this: Event managers. Available actions can vary with the event's enabled features and your assigned role.

Open this page

1. Sign in as an event manager.
2. Select Events, then choose the event.
3. Select Edit event → Previous Events.

Previous Events connects a current registration with historical event records. Sources can be managed Driven To Show events or up to five uploaded CSV files.

Add history sources

1. Open Edit event → Previous Events.
2. Link the relevant prior managed events, or download the CSV template and upload historical rows.
3. Review rejected CSV rows, correct the source file, and upload only the corrected rows.
4. Start the comparison after all intended sources are present. Comparisons are rate limited, so wait for the displayed interval before running another one.

Uploaded CSV rows provide matching history only. They do not create attendees, vehicle profiles, accounts, or email addresses in the current event.

Reuse a linked event's setup

Linking a previous event makes its reusable setup available, but it does not automatically change the current event.

• To copy its registration fields and vehicle-photo settings, open Edit event → Registration Form, select Import Linked Form, review the imported form, and save it.
• To copy eligible event users, open Users, select Import previous users, choose the people to add, and confirm the import. Existing users are excluded from the list.

Both imports require manager access. Review the imported registration fields and user roles before using them for the current event.

Review matches

The comparison uses identifying details such as first name, last name, email, and vehicle year, make, and model. Review Found, Possible, and Not found results rather than assuming every automated result is correct. Confirm a valid match or reject an incorrect one; those decisions are preserved on later comparisons.

Use Unlock or reset only when a confirmed or rejected decision genuinely needs review. Edit an imported historical row when its source data is wrong. Confirm all found is convenient only after the entire found list has been checked.

Deleting a CSV source also deletes its imported history and related match decisions. Export or retain the original file before deletion. If event staff should use confirmed vehicle history, enable the corresponding staff visibility setting and test it with a non-manager account.
